| MARCH 2000 MEETING | Return to Meetinglinks Page | |||||||||||||
| The March meeting started off with a flash of energy as a dozen or so members of the Living Hands Puppeteers set-up their stage and prepared their puppets and props for their performance. The LHP is the puppet ministry team of Brookdale Covenant Church lead by TCP VP Brenda Noyed. They treated us to a live performance of their big production of the song Colored People by DC Talk. This was one of the performances that earned them a silver medal at the One Way Street festival at the beginning of March. It was a well-executed, high energy performance that impressed us all. |
It was all the more impressive to learn that this performance was created primarily by the kids themselves starting in January. We also saw a video taken at the festival of their performance in the skit competition. Their skit about getting a kid named Rich to heaven included a needle and Brendas full-sized walk-around camel. The skit was also very well performed and the kids did an especially good job doing all the voices live. Following the performances, Brenda and the kids talked more about the details of their ministry. It really was a treat having the Living Hands Puppeteers share their talents with us. |
